Team Penske finally breaks through

WATKINS GLEN, July 5 -- Team Penske, after capturing the pole position in each of the first five Camping World Grand Prix at The Glen IndyCar competitions -- but failing to win any of those races -- finally made it to Victory Lane on Sunday, July 4 with the championship of the 6th annual event.

Will Power (right) won his third race of the year, finishing ahead of teammate Ryan Briscoe. Dario Franchitti was third.

The victory came on a clear, hot day at Watkins Glen International -- with negotiations still ongoing for a return of the race to Watkins Glen next year.
