11 join National Honor Society at WGHS

WATKINS GLEN, Oct. 27, 2025 -- The Watkins Glen High School chapter of the National Honor Society added 11 students to its ranks Monday evening at an induction ceremony in the WGHS Auditorium.

Joining the chapter were Matthew Bain, Isabella Bellavigna, Caleb Bresett, Elizabeth Fitzwater, Isaac Hendrickson, Aidan Kelly, Emma Lewis, Aurora Scott, Natalie VanSkiver, Grace Weed and Michaela Wheaton.

Each was introduced by an existing member of National Society. They include Sam Hohle, Zade Gomez-Fitzsimmons, Emily Melveney, Gillian D'Alleva, Marcus Delong, Olivia King, Michael Purpura, Wendy Coleman, Ryan Dean, Carson Thaete, Erin Snow, Anna Franzese and Rachel Vickio.

Sam Hohle, president of NHS, served as emcee, with remarks from the Chapter Advisor, Mrs. Courtney Foss.

Melveney, Gomez-Fitzsimmons, Hohle and D'Alleva each spoke about the National Honor Society's four pillars -- Scholarship, Leadership, Character and Service -- and each then lit a corresponding candle.

The evening concluded with photos by friends and relatives, and with snacks in the hallway outside the auditorium.

8 join National Honor Society at Odessa

WATKINS GLEN, Dec. 15, 2025 -- The Odessa-Montour High School chapter of the National Honor Society added eight students to its ranks Monday evening at an induction ceremony in the school's Fetter-Brown Auditorium.

Joining the chapter were Leah Antes, Susanna Collier, Peter Dechow, Jaden Jarrell, Thomas Mace, Kali Madorsky, Perry Navestad and Reese Rounds.

Each was introduced by an existing member of National Society. They include Rilke Arrance,Vanessa Wood, Connor Foggie, Lauren Signor, Kyler Eriksen, Alexander Campbell, James Halpin, Ella Kramer, Caleb Collier, Samantha Van Horn and Everly Zinger.

Kyler Eriksen, president of NHS, served as emcee, with remarks from the O-M High School Principal, Mrs.Kelsey Pinette -- who urged the new inductees to "continue to seek opportunities for growth and service."

Existing members Collier, Van Horn, Campbell and Zinger spoke about the four pillars of National Honor Society -- Scholarship, Leadership, Character and Service -- and each then lit a corresponding candle.

The evening concluded with photos snapped by friends and relatives, and with snacks in the hallway outside the auditorium.
